Description
For sale is an ultra rare spinner hubcap for a 1967 Mustang that never went into full production. The origins are not 100% clear but it is most often said that this hubcap was mistakenly put into production for a very short period in 1966 right as spinner type hubcaps were being outlawed by the government because they felt that this style hubcap would be dangerous to pedestrians. After realizing the mistaken production of these illegal hubcaps, Ford recalled them and stopped production but a few managed to escape the factory on the very first 1967 model year Mustangs. There are only about a dozen of these that are known to exist. This hubcap is in excellent condition with a few dings and scratches from light use. The spinner is very nice and the emblem is near perfect. Don't miss out on this rare hubcap and feel free to make an offer!
