** (1) Cadillac Eldorado "Body Shop Kit" - Ideal for replacing a missing 'painted" wheel cover. ** ** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Pretty Good Condition (A--) / Very Good Condition (A-) / Near Excellent (A/A-) or Excellent (A) . DONOR CAR: 1976 Eldorado (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims). KIT DETAILS: This auction is for ONE (1) wheel cover (stripped and cleaned) as well as appropriate emblems (with mounting hardware) . Wheel cover is top-of-the-line Grade " A " shape. The 1976-78 era Eldorados had either black or body-colored wheel cover centers. They looked pretty classy and elegant back in the day, but replacements are very hard to find now. I have a solution - a Do It Yourself replacement wheel cover kit. It contains the steel wheel cover, a restored crest and a correct shiny wreath. You would prep and paint the wheel cover whatever color you need - likely to match the body paint. I have sources for the paint and it's cost effective. Given that the Eldorado is famous for tossing wheel covers from the front rim, you may want to paint an extra one at the same time, and place it on your spare tire "just in case". If you are not handy enough to paint it, then take it to a body repair shop or painter - they can do it for you. This kit works perfectly for all painted wheel covers used originally on 1976-78 Eldorados. THE PICTURES OF A RED, WHITE AND BLACK WHEEL COVERS ARE ONES THAT I PERSONALLY PAINTED, ESSENTIALLY USING THE SAME KIT. KIT DETAILS: I typically offer these kits in either "A-" through "A" grade quality levels. "A" level typically does not have any minor damage but they are also the most expensive. "A-" grade might have a small flaw or two (usually fixable before painting) but will have a less expensive price. This also applies to the emblems included -- the "A" grades will have the most premium ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT emblems (think show car or top end restoration quality). This kit works perfectly for replacing a painted wheel cover used originally on any 1976-78 Eldorado (Biarritz, Convertible, Coupe). CONDITION: This kit has wheel cover ( Stock #2105H3 ) as part of it. It's an " A " grade that is about as good as they come. Normally I would list in detail any damages in this section, but with an "A" grade, there really aren't any. This wheel cover has avoided the test of time by not having dents, dings, scrapes or rash. It's a used wheel cover, of course, with very light wear and tear, but that will buff away quickly. Seriously, only an NOS wheel cover would be in better shape! :-) The crest has been color restored and looks very vibrant / like new. The wreath is shiny with no rust or pits....and has all of the mounting pins. New mounting hardware is included too . If your top notch 1976 Eldorado needs a premium replacement wheel cover, then you've found it~! ** THE WHEEL COVER, EMBLEM AND WREATH ARE 100% ORIGINAL 1970'S G.M. PARTS ** The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc. A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1967-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
