ORIGINAL 1970'S (AMERICAN MADE) FACTORY CADILLAC PARTS~~ WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION : Grade A levels= Pretty Good (A--), Very Good Condition (A-) / Near Excellent (A/A-) , Excellent (A). Grade B levels= Driver grade -- good/presentable shape (B+, B++), average condition/fair condition (B). The "B" Grades will have more visible damage than "A" Grades. ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE : 1974-1978 Eldorado (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD 15" steel rims). ITEM CONDITION : This auction is for ONE wheel cover in a premium Grade "A-" condition , per the ranking scale listed above. This quality range is considered " VERY GOOD " but it right on the border of being "Near Excellent" (A/A- grade) . "VERY GOOD CONDITION++" wheel covers have great visual appeal with typically a very minor blemish or two (outside of light wear & tear). Many high resolution close-up pictures are shown in ALL Caddypartz listings~! DETAILS : This wheel cover just turned 50 years old and yet carries itself well visually. Great shine & coloring. Not a single deep hammer dent or curb scuff in the Outer Rim area, Excellent Condition. Same for the Spokes, none bent of missing. The Outer Crown and Crown Face are Near Excellent. There is a slight scuff at the far left side of the Crown Edge (you would probably not even notice this more than 2 feet away) and a Crown Edge faint impression in the top right corner (see pics. Barely noticeable!). The Crown Side - usually cluttered with stone dings - has NONE. It's superb, which typically indicates a low mileage/low use wheel cover ( NOTE : It has the residue remnant of a GM Stock# tag on the backside, which means it was sold in a box via the Cadillac parts department at some point -- probably in the 1980's -- thus maybe explaining it's low wear & tear). The mounting tabs are in Excellent condition as well. Overall this vintage Eldorado wheel cover is a right on the border between my Near Excellent and Very Good rating....top notch item for it's age. The wheel cover was disassembled, deep cleaned and gently hand polished. It now has an OEM fully color-restored Crest, which looks bold and beautiful (as it should!). It also also has a very shiny OEM chrome wreath. It's a very good looking Survivor~! The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. K eep your expectations realistic, this is a 50+year old wheel cover with lower than average use characteristics. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1971-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
