Description

** WE ARE CURRENTLY PARTING OUT 1971 1972 1973 1975 AND 1976 ELDORADO CONVERTIBLES, CHECK OUT ALL OF THE GREAT PARTS IN OUR OTHER AUCTIONS OR eBay STORE~! ** ** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels = Excellent (A), Near Excellent (A/A-) , Very Good (A-), Pretty Good (A--). Grade B levels = Driver Grade Pretty Good (B++), Driver Grade Good Shape (B+), Average Condition (B), Fair/Poor but Usable Condition (B-, C+, C). All "B" & "C" Grades will have more visible damage than any "A" Grade. Ratings are based on the physical condition of the metal and the overall perceptive appearance, not paint (if applicable). ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE : 1971 (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims). ITEM DETAILS : The 1971 Eldorado was the lowest production year of the 1970's, due to the 3 month long strike at GM. Thus unique parts for this year are always the hardest to find....especially wheel covers because they were only used one model year (The Wheel Cover design changed again for 1972). 1971 is the first year with the deeply embossed "wreath and crest" in the center of the crown face. ITEM CONDITION : This auction is for a single (ONE) wheel cover in Grade " A/A- " condition, per the ranking scale listed above. This wheel cover is a sharp with almost no flaws. It has a hammer tap on the outer rim (12:00 position, to the right of the valve hole) and it needs a buff on the center face - there is some sort of rectangular faint faint shift "redirection of reflection" happening. Surface is perfectly flat. It looks like 2 decals (faint outlines) were once on the wheel cover but there is absolutely no decal residue nor anything I can feel. A good buffing and it'll be gone. Aside from that, there isn't anything else! Spokes are all there, nice and straight. No rashing / scratching / dents on either the Crown Edge or the Center Face. The rest of the Perimeter Rim is great (previously mentioned the one hammer ding). A great survivor, just give it 15 minutes with your buffer and it'll look top notch. See close-up pics, Caddypartz always gives you superb details. The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. K eep your expectations realistic, this is a 50 year old wheel cover with faint use characteristics. See my other auctions for more individual 1967-68 Eldorado wheel covers. NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. I have set them to a neutral position, so it's rather unlikely. This wheel cover will fit any 1967-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that 15" rim back in the day. Caddypartz~~ The #1 eBay source for 1971-78 Eldorado parts~! 1971 2109E5 Grade A/A- PP
