Description
** This listing is for (1) Original OEM GM-Cadillac Crest ** ITEM INFORMATION : Cadillac produced dozens of wreaths and crests over the years, in many sizes and mounting formats . Many sellers are clueless about the applications of the emblems that they sell. I assure you that I know exactly what I am offering here....and that is a Chrome Wheel Cover Crest for the 1970's OPTIONAL Wire Wheel Covers that were offered. PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION INFORMATION (FURTHER DOWN THIS PAGE) BEFORE PURCHASING. ITEM CONDITION : Cadillac wire wheel cover parts take a beating over time - The low location and constant spinning make them quiet prone to stone nicks, scratches, scuff, road oils, tar, heat, sun fade etc. NOS Replacements will take your wheel covers back in time to when they were new. I have in stock FOUR ( Sold Individually ) Chrome Crests, as described above. Each Crest will be in Excellent Condition - After all, they are NOS (New Old Stock). The Chrome is super shiny and free of pitting. There appear to be an age line or two in the lower crown area on some of them. The coloring is very nice and bold....there might be a paint nick or two from age and handling - these were unboxed emblems when acquired. They are NOS though, since there are no cutting nut grooves on the mounting posts. Dimensions: 2 5/8" wide by 2" tall. These emblems are easy to change - On the back side of the wheel cover are the 2 nuts that retain the Crest. *NEW MOUNTING HARDWARE IS INCLUDED* NOTE: ITEM MARKED #1, 2 & 3 HAVE BEEN SOLD. #4 REMAINS AND THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL BE SENT. YOUR USED EMBLEM TRADE-INS ARE WELCOME, MESSAGE ME FOR DETAILS. See the sample "Deville version" wheel cover pictures shown on 1974-84 era Deville and Fleetwood models. ------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: Cadillac had several variations on the famous wire wheel covers. Typically Deville series wire wheel covers simply had a crest (Fleetwood had wreath & crest) BUT dealers upgraded customers with whatever they had in stock to sell at the time, so many Devilles had Fleetwood style wheel covers and Vice Versa. Add to that many people upgrading their car to wire wheel covers, many years after they were out of production. The year and model of your car likely doesn't match all of your wire wheel covers. So in order to buy my emblems, check a few things to be sure they are correct for you: 1 ) This version (as shown in the pictures) is only used only on Rear Wheel Drive models (These emblems are NOT for the Eldorado or any front wheel drive Cadillacs). Make sure that your wheel cover does not have a wreath on it. 2 ) This emblem is for the EARLY VERSION (1974-79 appx) version of the Wire wheel cover that does NOT have locking wheel covers. LATE VERSION Locking wheel covers had a lock bolt hidden under a special crest. My emblems only work on EARLY VERSION . Remove one of your wheel covers and look at the backside. You should see the same view as the picture I posted - the Crest's cutting nuts holding the Crest on the center chrome hub. No additional shipping charges for multiple Crest purchases.
