** (1) Cadillac Eldorado "Body Shop Kit" - Ideal for replacing a missing 'painted" wheel cover. ** ** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Pretty Good Condition (A--) / Very Good Condition (A-) / Near Excellent (A/A-) or Excellent (A). DONOR CAR: 1976 Eldorado (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims). KIT DETAILS: This auction is for ONE (1) wheel cover (stripped and cleaned) as well as appropriate emblems (with mounting hardware) . Wheel cover is Grade " A- " shape. The 1976-78 era Eldorados had either black or body-colored wheel cover centers. They looked pretty classy and elegant back in the day, but replacements are very hard to find now. I have a solution - a Do It Yourself replacement wheel cover kit. It contains the steel wheel cover, a restored crest and a correct shiny wreath. You would prep and paint the wheel cover whatever color you need - likely to match the body paint. I have sources for the paint and it's cost effective. Given that the Eldorado is famous for tossing wheel covers from the front rim, you may want to paint an extra one at the same time, and place it on your spare tire "just in case". If you are not handy enough to paint it, then take it to a body repair shop or painter - they can do it for you. THE PICTURES OF A RED, WHITE AND BLACK WHEEL COVER ARE ONES THAT I PERSONALLY PAINTED, ESSENTIALLY USING THE SAME KIT. I can accept some trade-ins of earlier wheel covers towards the price of kit that would have 4 or 5 single kits. PHYSICAL CONDITION: I typically offer these kits in either "A-" or "A" grade quality level. "A" level typically does not have any minor damage but they are also the most expensive. "A-" grade might have some small flaws but will have a less expensive price. This also applies to the emblems included --- the "A" grades will have the most premium emblems (think show car or top end restoration quality). This kit has wheel cover ( Stock #1910C5 ) as part of it. It's an " A- " grade that is presentable. The outer rim is very good, but does have a soft indentation at the 10:00 area (think of a clock face superimposed over the wheel cover, in order to determine the location). There are also a few random hammer nicks. Spokes are excellent, nice and straight. The Outer Crown, for the most part, is very good. At the 9:00 region, there is a 2 inch section where the metal wobbles a bit. A few surface scratches are present around 11-12:00. The Center Face (inner circle) is EXCELLENT. The crest has been color restored and looks very vibrant. The wreath is shiny with no rust....and has all of the mounting pins. New mounting hardware is included too . Overall this is a decent budget-oriented kit - If you need one for a show grade/excellent condition car, then check out my other listings or contact me...those are called "Grade A" kits. The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc. A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1967-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
