MES SAGE ME. ** ** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Pretty Good (A--) , Very Good Condition (A-) / Near Excellent or Excellent (A/A- or A) / Show Quality (A+). Grade B levels (Driver Grade Level) = Average condition/fair condition (B-, B) / Good shape (B+) / Pretty Good (B++). All "B" Grades will have more visible damage than any "A" Grade.. Ratings are based on the physical condition of the metal, not paint (if applicable). COMPATABILITY: 1967-1978 (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims ONLY). ITEM DETAILS: This auction is for FOUR wheel covers . Two of them are in the " A- " grade zone and the other Two are " A-- ". Overall rating as a group is " A-- " (Between Pretty Good and Very Good -- but not Excellent) . Put the latter ones on the rear of your Eldorado if you have a 1971-74 (Since they have skirts). PICTURE NOTES: Pics were taken on a very overcast day, so the wheel covers don't appear as bright and shiny as they actually are. PHYSICAL CONDITION: Lower level "A" wheel covers will have lower prices than higher "A" grades but they also have a little more damage....perhaps a balance point for a budget conscious owner. This decently presentable wheel cover set looks pretty good from a few feet back but upon close inspection you will see some minor flaws as noted below. I do not consider them to be Excellent / Near Excellent. Regarding damage - Each one will vary a bit but roughly they are in the same zone of overall grading. This particular set has great Center Faces, the large main area that you see. Each Face has a brilliant Cadillac Crest, which has had the colors boldly restored. The outer area of the Center Face is the Crown Edge, and 2 of these had a small ding there. The Outer Perimeter Rim is usually where the minor damage is - 2 have a scuff spot and 2 have some light hammer impressions. These are 50+ years old wheel covers that have seen some road time but still have some miles left on them. Very nice shine to all of them~! As a general rule, damage on any A--/A- Grades can be hammer taps or curb rashing/scratches, storage scratches or dimples on the Crown Face, metal wobble from some sort of impact, stone dings, paint fade or peel, etc. A quick assessment is below (The rest of each wheel cover is in very good/great shape except for what is noted). Stock # Grade Note #2403F2 A- Very Nice condition, bright. A few light mallet/hammer dings in outer perimeter. Slight Crown wobble/surface scratch section about 4" long. #2403E1 A-- Nice condition, bright. Several hammer taps in outer rim, 3 stone dings on Center Face. #2005E3 A- Very Nice condition, bright. Tiny Crown Edge ding and scuffed / slightly flat spot in far outer rim (about 2" long). #2302A2 A-- Good Condition, bright. 2" slightly flat/scuffed spot in Perimeter Rim as well as a dozen hammer nicks. Put this one on the rear of your car if you have 1971-74 Eldorado (wheel skirts partially cover the hubcaps). The wheel covers were test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc. A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way!
