This auction item's grade is highlighted in BLUE on this scale. ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE : 1967-1968 Eldorado (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD 15" steel rims). ITEM CONDITION : This auction is for ONE wheel cover in Grade "A/A-" condition , per the ranking scale listed above. This quality range is considered " NEAR EXCELLENT ". "NEAR EXCELLENT CONDITION" wheel covers have great visual appeal with typically a very minor blemish or two (outside of light wear & tear). Many high resolution close-up pictures are shown in ALL Caddypartz listings~! DETAILS : Thi s 58 year old Wheel Cover is a true survivor and carries itself quite well visually. Great shine & coloring. Not a single deep hammer dent or curb scratches in the Outer Rim area, Excellent Condition. Same for the Spokes, none scraped or dented - which is rather rare. The Crown Side is nearly excellent - No issues aside from a total of 2 light stone dings (rare since they are usually pocked with stone nicks/dings). The Center Face is comparably nice too -- Very nice shine, with light wear & tear (couple light stone nicks) -- speculating that this wheel cover was probably from a lower mileage Eldorado. The mounting tabs are in Excellent condition as well. As for the silverish paint, I will call that "Near Excellent" Condition. The paint is generally very even across the whole wheel cover, no rub wear/thin spots standing out as "obvious", despite the paint being thin to begin with. No major staining (common) seen, but a couple of faint stains noted. Overall this vintage Eldorado wheel cover is a small notch below "Excellent" but it still gives off some great premium visuals. The wheel cover was disassembled (crest removed), tab adjustments made, deep cleaned and gently hand polished. It now has an OEM fully color-restored Crest, which looks bold and beautiful (as it should!). It's a very good looking 58-Year Old Survivor~! The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. K eep your expectations realistic, this is a 50+year old wheel cover with lower than average use characteristics. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.** NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1971-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
