ORIGINAL 1970'S (AMERICAN MADE) FACTORY CADILLAC PARTS~~ WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Good Condition (A--), Very Good Condition (A-) , Near Excellent (A/A-), or Excellent (A). Grade B levels (Driver Grade Level) = Average condition/fair condition (B) / Good shape (B+) / Pretty Good (B++). All "B" Grades will have more visible damage than any "A" Grade.. Ratings are based on the physical condition of the metal, not paint (if applicable). ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE: 1967, 1968 (Fits all 1967-78 Eldorado FWD rims). ITEM DETAILS: This auction is for ONE (1) wheel cover , overall in "Grade A- " shape. This particular wheel cover is a nice survivor. What's of particular interest is that the original paint looks INCREDIBLY for being 56 years old. Usually it stains / fades / peels off. Impressive! Aside from that, it's quite a presentable wheel cover but not perfect. The outer Perimeter Rim is nearly excellent, almost free from damage. There is a light soft mallet dimple at the lower right. No hamner dents or curb crushes. Six of the 7 spokes are in great shape, the 7th one has a scuff graze (1") - it's located in the lower left area of the wheel cover. The Center Face has a polished finish, so it is highly reflective. Very Good Condition, there are just some light storage and polishing scratches. The Outer Crown Edge is mostly good, with some metal wobble from a curb scuff is slightly apparent in the lower left region. The polishing covers it to a large degree. The crest is superb, I refreshed all of the colors so that it looks bold and beautiful. It's not perfect but it carries itself well for being 55 years old. The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well. K eep your expectations realistic, this is a 55+ year old wheel cover with less than average use characteristics. See my other auctions for more individual 1967-68 Eldorado wheel covers. NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1967-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day. ** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design.
